Arsitektur Database Oracle

Oracle Server adalah sebuah Relational Management System (RDBMS) yang memiliki sifat terbuka, comprehensive, dan terintegrasi untuk mengelola informasi.

Oracle server terdiri dari :

1. Oracle Instance : SGA + background process
2. Oracle database :

• Struktur Memory (Memory Structures) : SGA+ PGA
• Struktur Proses (Process Structures) : user proccess + server process + background process (SMON|PMON|DBWN|LGWR|ARCn|CKPT)
• Struktur Penyimpanan (Storage Structures) : Logical Storage (database->schema->tablespace->segment->extent->oracle data blok) + Physical Storage (critical file : control file|data file|redo log file) & non critical file : parameter file|backup file|archive log files|password file|alert &  trace log file)
